Due to the lack of a local press, Pakistan’s initial stamps were printed by Thomas De La Rue in London. In 1949, the Pakistan Security Printing Corporation was set up in Malir Halt, Karachi. The first set printed entirely by this press was the 1954 Seventh Anniversary issue (SG ).
