HBL has been awarded the license to become the first Pakistani bank to offer financial services to clients in Beijing, China’s capital city. The branch license was awarded by China Banking and Insurance Regulatory Commission (CBIRC) in December 2019.
The preparatory work of setting up the HBL Beijing branch is now underway. With approval from relevant regulators, the Beijing branch is expected commence offering a full range of products & service for our esteemed clients from the third quarter of 2020.
Beijing branch will be HBL’s second branch in China after the commencement of business. HBL already has a special branch in the city of Urumqi. HBL is the first and only bank from Pakistan and one of the three banks from the South Asia and MENA region to offer end-to-end RMB intermediation in China. This will add to exisiting CPEC-related operations.
Pakistan’s Irfan Mehsud breaks Guinness World Record of an Indian.With an aim to promote the softer image of Waziristan , the martial arts athlete Irfan Mehsud has achieved another feat, by cracking the record for the most side jumps in one minute, of an Indian.Irfan who hails from Tehsil Ladha of Waziristan broke the record of most side jumps in one minute by 112 jumps was approved by Guinness World Records.
Earlier the record was held by Indian Jayanath Reddy of 102 side jumps in one minute.
