International Cricket Council (ICC) today inducted three retired greats of the game into the ICC Cricket Hall of Fame. Kallis, Sthalekar and Zaheer Abbas(Pakistan) inducted into ICC Cricket Hall of Fame.
National Party chief Senator Mir Hasil Bizenjo passed away on Thursday. He was 62. The veteran politician belonging to Balochistan was undergoing treatment at a private hospital in Karachi.
According to the reports, he was suffering from lungs cancer.
Bizenjo had served as Minister for Maritime Affairs during the Pakistan Muslim League Nawaz (PML-N) last tenure (2013 to2018) in the federal government.

China has provided 12 T16 high-tech farm drones to Pakistan to help combat locusts. China will also send technical support staff to operate the drones and train local operators. The operator can control five drones at the same time without actually being on the field.

The federal government has appointed Brig (r) Shujah Hassan as the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of the Pakistan Steel Mills.
According to a notification issued by the Establishment Division on Friday(August 7, 2020), the appointment of Brig (r) Shujah Hassan would be for one year with immediate effect.

President Dr Arif Alvi presented the highest civil award of the country, Nishan-e-Pakistan, to Kashmiri Hurriyat leader, Syed Ali Shah Geelani for his noteworthy services and sacrifices for the oppressed people of Indian occupied Kashmir.
Hurriyat Leaders received Nishan-e-Pakistan Award on behalf of Syed Ali Shah Gilani from President of Pakistan, Dr. Arif Alvi, at Aiwan-e-Sadr on 14th August 2020.

The handing over ceremony of the tank, which is an upgraded version of Al Khalid tank, was held at Heavy Industries Taxila (HIT), the largest state-owned manufacturer of defence products. Army Chief Gen Qamar Bajwa was the chief guest at the ceremony.

Al Khalid-I has been developed in collaboration with China and Ukraine. The Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) said the tank, during the ceremony, exhibited some of its “outstanding capabilities”, including mobility, speed, bi-axis gun stabilisation of the control system and use of smoke screen to mask movement.
