Cuba and Pakistan on Wednesday signed an agreement on the exemption from visa requirement for diplomatic and official passport holders.
Secretary, Ministry of Interior signed the agreement on behalf of Pakistan. The agreement would facilitate the travel of the officials of the two countries.
The agreement between Pakistan and Cuba was signed at the Foreign Office after Foreign Minister Shah Mehmood Qureshi held wide-ranging talks with Cuban Vice President along with his delegation.

NUST graduate becomes Pakistan’s first female Google Developer. ISLAMABAD: Aqsa Kausar, an accomplished graduate of NUST School of Electrical Engineering and Computer Science (SEECS), has beaten the odds by becoming the first female Google Developer Expert in Machine Learning from Pakistan.
Machine Learning is the application of Artificial Intelligence that helps the computer system to predict the outcome and take action accordingly without being explicitly programmed.

In 2018, ASP Fareed made history when she became the first lady officer in Police Service of Pakistan to be awarded the ‘Sword of Honour’. ASp Maham khan becames the second Female police officer to have earned a “Sword of Honour” in 2019. For the second time in a row, a female officer bagged the prestigious ‘Sword of Honour’ awarded for successful completion of training at the National Police Academy.
The sword is awarded to the best officer.
Government has dissolved the existing body of Pakistan Medical and Dental Council and established a new organization, Pakistan Medical Commission, to regulate medical profession in the country.
According to an official of the Ministry of National Health Services, President Dr Arif Alvi has signed a new ordinance in this regard, titled ‘Pakistan Medical Commission Ordinance 2019’.
He said the aim of establishing this new organization is to regulate and control medical profession by establishing uniform minimum standard of medical education and training and recognition of qualifications in medicine and dentistry.
