The Council of Common Interests (CCI) is a constitutional body in the Government of Pakistan. It is appointed by the President on the advice of the Prime Minister. The CCI resolves the disputes of power sharing between the federation and provinces.
The president on the advice of the prime minister has reconstituted the Council of Common Interests (CII) with effect from August 31, 2018. According to a notification issued here, the prime minister will be the chairman of the Council. Chief ministers of four provinces including Punjab, Sindh, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and Balochistan have been included in the Council as members.

Prime Minister Imran Khan inaugurated Pakistan’s first National Science and Technology Park (NSTP) in Islamabad on Monday, 9 Dec, 2019.
The NSTP is set to be the country’s largest innovation and research ecosystem which would accommodate more 40 companies including start-ups, Small and Medium Enterprises (SMEs) and other tech companies. The park would be located in the vicinity of National University of Science and Technology (NUST), which had earlier secured the approval of the Public-Private Partnership Authority’s (PPPA) Board to initiate the process for its flagship project.
